Ruchi Dixit, MSPAS, PA-C

Ms. Ruchi Dixit, MSPAS, PA-C has recently joined FocusMD as a physician assistant.

She completed a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Alderson-Broaddus University in West Virginia.  She is certified by the NCCPA and is a member of the AAPA organization.

Ms. Dixit joined Focus-MD with compassion and personal desire to help patients with ADHD.  In her words, “I often recall this anonymous quote, “The thoughts of an untreated ADHD patient are like butterflies.  Beautiful, but they fly away too quickly.”  Helping our patients fully understand their medical condition and providing a compassionate personable holistic approach to medical care; we can help our patients keep their beautiful thoughts and do many great things.

Ms. Dixit is married and enjoys reading and attentively watching “Downton Abbey” and other Masterpiece Theater shows on PBS.  She loves to go shopping, or antique hunting.  She and her husband both enjoy theatrical murder mystery shows or attending historical ghost tours.  They have one cat who loves their undivided attention.

Stephanie Smith, MD, FAAP

Dr. Stephanie Smith attended University of Virginia for her undergraduate studies and completed both Medical School and her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has been practicing medicine in the Richmond area for several years. Dr. Smith has personal experience with ADHD so she has a strong commitment to providing educational and helpful resources to patients and their families living with this disorder. She also plans to utilize the latest professional medical guidelines in order to be able to individualize care for each patient with adequate time for evidence-based management. She is eager to be able to devote her time working with children, adolescents and young adults with ADHD.

Dr. Smith also contributes to the Richmond Family Magazine. In her free time she loves to  spend time with family and friends.
